Yellow economic circle: political stance kidnaps free economy

With a series of violent protests triggered by the Anti-Extradition Movement over the past six months, Hong Kong society has been polarised. Some scholars, represented by Simon Shen Xu-hui, introduced the populist concept of “yellow economic circle” based on their political stance, in an attempt to spread the “color revolution” from the streets to the commercial and economic fields, and further intensify social conflicts in Hong Kong.
