Hong Kong budget backlash has cracked down public confidence in the consultation mechanism, highlighting policy formulation problems within the administration and more importantly, initiating reflections on whether the current governing system could sustain. Hong Kong should open up for new administrating model including strengthening connections with political groups and taking into account their suggestions to a larger extent so as to win their support.
