Construction of an “Aero City”: A Strategic Alternative for Future Development of Hong Kong International Airport

Hong Kong should capitalize on the opportunity of airport expansion and formation of a transportation hub to transform it into an “Aero City”. This would have the benefit of integrating business, commercial retailing, exhibitions and entertainment services to attract visitors from all around the world and lure some 50 million Pearl River Delta residents across the border for consumption and business activities, creating a new economic growth engine for the city. .
