China’s Measures to Curb Inflation

In October, China’s consumer price index rose 4.4% compared to the same period last year. The Government interpreted it as a signal of inflation and has responded with monetary and administrative policy measures. When commodity prices increase rapidly, the Government should issue polices aimed at the root of the problem. A stable and reliable consumer price index is a measure of a country’s inflation.
