Premier Focuses on People’s Well-being in Government Work Report

Compared with those delivered in the past few years, Premier Wen’s government work report for 2011 seems to be plain and less inspiring. Nevertheless, the “lengthy” list of issues to be addressed by the government turns out to be the highlight of the report in the eyes of some sophisticated reporters and political observers. The newly released government work report offers a most comprehensive and meticulous account of all walks of people’s livelihood. A netizen once commented “A number of statements in the work report won applause from people like me who were not present at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing but scattered all over the country.”
