The disclosure of the power struggle within the Pan-Blue camp to the public, has diminished the initial psychological impact on the Kuomintang supporter. At the current stage, it seems the response to James Soong has been aversion rather than sympathy. If this sentiment continues to spread it may develop a sense of crisis and it appears likely that more people will vote for Ma Ying-Jeou.
