The week-long visit led by Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid demonstrated that U.S. needs to gain a deep understanding of a rising China. The largest-ever 10-member senate delegation, on one hand improved comprehensive cooperation and mutual trust of the two countries, opening a new chapter in U.S.-China relationship and on the other hand, urged the American political elites to face the challenge ahead, eliminate disadvantages and revitalize the economy.
