Police Assault Case Impose Challenge on HK Judicial Authority

Triggered by the latest talk of town regarding a lenient sentence to the niece of Court of Final Appeal Justice Kemal Bokhary for her conviction for assaulting police a populist street movement was organized with an aim to challenge HK’s judicial system and question the authority of the government’s rule of law. However, the tendency that public judgment is exerting influence on adjudication is a destructive damage to the HK judiciary.
